Step-by-Step Setup Guide
Follow these setup steps to connect your WordPress forms securely with your monday.com workspace.
1
Install the WordPress Plugin
• Log into your WordPress Admin dashboard.
• Go to Plugins > Add New.
• Search for Interacti Forms Connector for monday.
• Click Install Now and then click Activate.
2
Generate Your Token
• In your WordPress Admin panel, navigate to Settings > Interacti Forms Connector for monday.
• Click on the "Generate token" button.
• Keep this tab open or copy both the Site URL and the Generated Token for later.
3
Install the App on monday.com
• Go to the monday.com Apps Marketplace, search for WordPress Forms Integration, and install it on your chosen workspace.
• Prepare your board: Create the columns that will receive the incoming WordPress form submissions.
For Subitems
If you plan to use subitem integrations, manually create at least one placeholder subitem in your target board first. monday.com needs this step to detect and list your subitem columns in the mapping options.
4
Connect credentials in monday.com
• In the monday.com Integrations Center, select one of our recipes.
• Click the first integration icon acting as our credentials block.
• Paste your WordPress Site URL and the Token (from Step 2) into the authentication screen.
• Name your connection (e.g., "Company Website") to save and link your account.
5
Configure Your Recipe
Trigger Configuration:
• Click Form to select your WordPress form from the list.
• For conditional recipes, map your Question (field), select a matching operator, and input the required text or number check.
Action Configuration:
• Choose to build an Item/Subitem or write an Update.
• Select the destination board coordinates (Group/Item).
• Click Data to access the mapping console.
Pro-Tip: Submission Overviews
Within the data mapping console, you can map the "Full response" parameter into the "Update" field. The app will automatically post a detailed structured summary of the form submission directly as a comment on the created item.
6
Activate the Automation
• Verify the automation text to ensure the mapped fields match your design.
• Click "Create Automation" to save.
• Your configuration is active! Perform a test entry on your WordPress site to verify the data populates on your board.

Configuration Steps
Add your WordPress Site URL and Token by clicking our app credentials icon at the start of the recipe
Select the specific WordPress {Form} you want to sync
Choose whether to create an {Item/Subitem}
Select the destination {Group/Item} in your monday.com board

Tip: In the mapping section, you can use the 'Update' field to post the entire 'Full response' as an update comment.
Technical Overview
Data Mapping
Our integration parses form responses cleanly into standard column structures.
Successful Mappings
Text Answer → Text ColumnDirect mapping
Number Fields → Number ColumnDirect mapping
"Full Response" → Update FieldPosts as Comment
Email Fields → Email ColumnValidated & mapped
Fallback Behavior
Text Answer → Number ColumnParsed or left empty
Empty Title/Name Field → Item NameGenerates default name
Missing Form Data → Target ColumnLeft empty
Priority: We prioritize item creation and updates over strict formatting requirements. Missing fields will not block overall data syncing.
How Data Mapping Works
1
Analyze Payload
The integration queries the incoming submission payload generated by your active WordPress form.
2
Format & Transform
We normalize field formats, checkbox arrays, and files to fit monday.com's GraphQL standards.
3
Execute Target Action
The connector updates matched subitems, updates existing item properties, or appends threaded comments.
Best Practices
•Construct your target board columns before configuring the automation recipe.
•Verify that the plugin's "Interacti Token" is securely generated and the site URL includes standard schema (https://).
•To handle subitems properly, add at least one test subitem on monday.com before attempting mapping configurations.
•Select highly unique values like Email addresses or specific User IDs when configuring match criteria for the Update recipes.
